GP Practice based Social Prescriber (Signposter)

Whiteparish Surgery is a forward-thinking rural dispensing practice and part of Sarum Trinity PCN. We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Social Prescriber to join our team and share our passion and determination to improve the lives of vulnerable people, by helping us deliver a comprehensive social care service that meets the needs of its users.

 

This will involve taking referrals, ensuring that you target groups and communities most in need, and then supporting them to access help. You’ll support residents to live independently within the community following discharge from hospital, connecting people to groups and services for practical and emotional support.

 

You will achieve this by working alongside the NHS providers and community social care providers as well as networking with other local voluntary organisations in a truly multi-agency approach. We value your input and we hope you will identify areas for improvement in the service that is provided, ensuring that it is utilised to the full within the community.

 

This is a real opportunity to be part of and develop an exciting social prescribing project. This rewarding role involves significant independent working, comprising of regular home and 1-2-1 visits to best support the community.

 

A positive and proactive team player, you’ll have an understanding of the voluntary sector and be determined to have a positive impact on the services that we deliver.

Administrator/Receptionist

 

An exciting new position has been created at Whiteparish Surgery and we are now looking for an administrator/receptionist to join our friendly team.

 

We are looking for a caring, hardworking individual with a bright disposition who works well under pressure whilst also being able to provide an excellent service to the patients and staff of Whiteparish Surgery. They must have a calm, confident manner; good communication skills; the ability to multi task; a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Flexibility is important in this role as they will be expected to work in both the administration and reception teams to help cover gaps in the staff rota and provide extra assistance where needed to help with workload. They must be a team player who can, on occasions, cover shifts outside of their set hours.

 

The position available is for 20 – 25 hours per week. 

                                                                                                              

Previous experience of working as an administrator in a medical setting is preferred but not essential. In return we offer excellent, friendly working conditions and membership to the NHS pension scheme.

Practice/Minor Illness Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and qualified nurse who ideally has experience in primary care and the management of long term conditions who would be interested in, or has already started, developing their skills in minor illness and/or prescribing course to join our team.

Whiteparish Surgery is a rural dispensing practice with 6,700 patients. The clinical team is made up of 4 GP Partners, 2 salaried GP’s, 2 ANP’s, 2 practice nurses and  HCA and along with a full complement of administrative and dispensing  staff, are committed to providing excellent patient care.

This is a part-time permanent position for 30 hours per week. Salary will be dependent on experience and knowledge.

The applicant should be willing to learn new skills; be happy to work as part of a team and flexible in their approach. In return they will be fully supported by a caring and supportive team including regular ANP/GP supervision.

Informal visits to the Practice are welcome by appointment.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Whiteparish Surgery is a rural dispensing practice with 6,700 patients. The clinical team is made up of 4 GP Partners, 2 salaried GP’s, 2 ANP’s, 2 practice nurses, an HCA and a phlebotomist along with a full complement of administrative and dispensing staff, who are committed to providing excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed Advanced Nurse Practitioner with experience of working in General Practice and is able to prescribe. We are looking for someone who would be able to work 15 – 30 hours per week split over 2 – 4 days.

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
